Shimano's XT Di2 Linkglide: A Game-Changing Auto-Shifting Drivetrain.

Shimano's latest XT Di2 Linkglide electronic drivetrain is designed specifically for e-bikes and offers automatic shifting while coasting and fully automatic mode. The system can be configured in four different ways, and there are two versions of the drivetrain, XT Di2 Hyperglide+ and XT Di2 Linkglide. The setup process requires experimentation to get it personalized for each rider, but the system works well overall. The actual shifting feel on the Linkglide cassette is very good, especially under load. The ideal use case for this technology is electric commuter bikes, but riders can decide which mode best suits their needs.

SRAM's Latest Drivetrain Revolutionizes Mountain Biking.

SRAM has launched its new Eagle Transmission, a 12-speed electronic drivetrain that is free of wires, derailleur hangers, limit screws, or B-tension adjustments. The XO drivetrain has been tested over 1,000 miles and 175,000 vertical feet of climbing over the course of 65 rides. The new aluminum crankset is the most eye-catching part of the new groupset, and the cassette maintains the 10-52 tooth gear spread found on SRAM's Eagle drivetrains. The XO chain has a black finish that SRAM calls 'Dark Polar', and it has a PVD coating to ward off corrosion and improve its lifespan. The XO groupset is priced at $1,599.
