The 2023 Mercedes-AMG SL43, featuring a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, has been confirmed for the US market at a starting price of $111,050. The engine is good for 375 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, enabling a 0 to 60 mph sprint in an estimated 4.8 seconds. The SL43 is sold with rear-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission, and features a unique front fascia and rear apron. It will be interesting to see if the next-generation AMG GT Coupe will also spawn a "43" base model.
