Eiji Aonuma, producer of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, advises players not to head straight for the ending and to take detours and explore the vast open world of the game. Aonuma has completed the game 20 times and claims to have never felt bored once, discovering new things even during gameplay demonstrations. IGN's 10/10 review agrees, stating that the game has an "almost alarming number of tasks to complete, mysteries to discover, and delightful distractions to keep you from ever reaching that place you naively thought you were headed."
