Ole Miss football's defense led the way in a 17-7 victory over Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl, keeping their hopes alive for a New Year's Six bowl game. Despite their offense struggling, the Rebels' defense kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard for most of the game and limited their rushing attack.
