Edward Michael Schima, M.D., a beloved physician from Cedar Rapids, passed away at the age of 85. He was a dedicated husband, father, and respected member of the medical community. Known for his dry wit and kind heart, he helped countless patients throughout his nearly 50-year career. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 12 at St. John's Church in Omaha, Nebraska, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling, Illinois. Donations in his name can be made to Doctors Without Borders and the Humane Society of the United States.
