A homicide investigation is underway after a shooting at an apartment complex in Edmond, Oklahoma. A man was shot and killed during a domestic-related incident, and the people involved are cooperating with the investigation.
Joseph Taylor, a 20-year-old man, was arrested by the Edmond Police Department for the murder of his uncle in Bethany. The arrest came after Taylor was stopped for jaywalking and officers discovered he had outstanding warrants. Human remains were found in the backyard of a Bethany home in June 2021, and investigators believe Taylor is responsible for the murder of his 43-year-old uncle, Clifton Taylor. The Medical Examiner determined that Clifton died from blunt force trauma and a stab wound. The police have not yet released a motive for the crime.
One person is dead after a shooting at a Wingstop restaurant in Edmond, Oklahoma. The suspect entered the establishment and began firing a gun, hitting and killing one person before fleeing the scene. No further information is currently available.
