A mass shooting at an unofficial afterparty for an EDM festival in downtown Los Angeles resulted in 2 deaths and 6 injuries, with no arrests made and unclear links to gang activity or the main festival.
The main stage at Tomorrowland in Belgium caught fire just before the festival began, causing significant damage, but the event will continue as planned with adjustments, and no injuries were reported.
The two victims who died in the shooting at the Gorge Amphitheatre campground during the Beyond Wonderland EDM festival have been identified as Josilyn Ruiz and Brandy Escamilla. The suspect, James Kelly, a soldier stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault. Three others were injured in the shooting, and the motive is currently unknown.
