Grand Canyon University (GCU) achieved its first-ever NCAA regional victory by defeating top-seeded Arizona 9-4 in Tucson. Eddy Pelc's bases-clearing double in the sixth inning was pivotal, giving GCU a 5-3 lead. GCU's Isaac Lyon pitched three shutout innings to secure the win. GCU will face West Virginia next, while Arizona will play Dallas Baptist in an elimination game.
