Coast Guard rescues dog who fell 300 feet off Oregon cliff.
The US Coast Guard rescued a German Shepherd that fell 300 feet from a cliff and was trapped on a secluded beach at Ecola State Park in Oregon. The dog's location was only accessible by rappelling down from a hiking trail. A rescuer was lowered down from a helicopter and swam through cold waters to reach the injured dog. The German Shepherd was airlifted to safety and reunited with her owner at the Ecola State Park parking lot.
