Poland to Build €3.5B Breakthrough Anti-Drone Shield for NATO’s East
Poland signed a two-year contract worth about €3.4–3.5 billion to develop the San anti-drone system, an unprecedented, integrated defense network described by Prime Minister Donald Tusk as a breakthrough for protecting Poland’s eastern border and NATO’s eastern flank. Led by PGZ with APS and Norway’s Kongsberg, the program will include 18 anti-drone batteries and 700+ vehicles, complementing the country’s existing layered air-defense network including Patriot, Narew, and Pilica.
