A woman died in an early-morning fire that erupted inside her Brooklyn home on East 52nd Street near Avenue D in East Flatbush. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Twelve FDNY units, including 60 firefighters and EMS workers responded to the scene. The woman was found unconscious and unresponsive inside the second-floor bedroom of the home and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding EMS personnel.
