EA DICE has officially announced Battlefield 6, with a reveal trailer premiering on July 24, 2025, and plans to release the game before April 2026, promising an intense warfare experience and competing with upcoming Call of Duty titles.
EA DICE will conclude post-launch support for Battlefield 2042 after Season 7, as the studio shifts focus to the next game in the franchise with the help of EA Motive. The decision comes after delivering new content updates across seven seasons, aiming to improve the game following a rocky launch. Server and gameplay maintenance will continue, but the seasonal strategy of new content updates will end.
Former Battlefield creative director Lars Gustavsson has co-founded a new game development studio, TTK Games, with four other EA DICE veterans. The Stockholm-based studio is currently working on a next-gen online shooter and has secured significant funding. TTK Games is recruiting for roles across all disciplines.
