The duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall have provided £1.2bn in income for the British royal family since the queen took the throne in 1952, when adjusted for inflation. In addition to the duchies, the family has significant wealth tied up in treasures such as art, jewels, racehorses, and a stamp collection worth approximately £100m.
