Irish Firefighter from Dublin Charged with Rape in Boston During St. Patrick's Day Visit
A Dublin firefighter visiting Boston for St. Patrick’s Day weekend has been charged with raping a woman at the Omni Parker House hotel. Terrence Crosbie, 37, was held on $100,000 bail and ordered not to leave Massachusetts. Prosecutors say he flew to Boston from Ireland with other firefighters and attempted to leave the country after being interviewed by police. The victim's willingness to come forward and the alertness of the police in preventing Crosbie from leaving the country were crucial in the case. Crosbie is scheduled to return to court on April 16 for a probable cause hearing.
