
Dozens Arrested in Providence Police Crackdown on Drug Dealing at Kennedy Plaza
Providence police have announced the results of a months-long undercover investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics at Kennedy Plaza, with 25 suspects facing charges including unlawful delivery of cocaine and conspiracy. The suspects, ranging in age from 23 to 56, were caught selling drugs to undercover officers over the past three months. While 19 suspects have been arrested, arrest warrants have been issued for the remaining six. The announcement comes as Providence grapples with an opioid overdose crisis, and an increased public safety presence will be implemented in the area.
