RFK Jr. Advocates for Legalizing Drugs, Funding Recovery Farms
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, has pledged to legalize marijuana and psychedelics if elected, using the tax revenue to fund "healing centers" where people recovering from drug addiction can learn organic farming. Kennedy supports regulated access to psychedelics and wants to decriminalize marijuana on a federal level while allowing states to regulate it. He also advocates for safe banking laws for the cannabis industry. Inspired by an Italian treatment center, Kennedy envisions creating healing centers in rural areas across the country where individuals can grow organic food and heal themselves spiritually, physically, and emotionally. He believes in making addiction treatment easy, simple, and affordable, and supports the use of psychedelics in therapeutic settings. Kennedy's stance on drug policy reform sets him apart from incumbent President Joe Biden.
