Rays lose RHP Drew Rasmussen to 60-day IL with flexor strain.
Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Drew Rasmussen has been placed on the 60-day injured list due to a flexor strain, which could potentially end his season and take him out for all of 2024 if he requires a third Tommy John surgery. The Rays have the best record in baseball, but have already lost key pitchers Jeffrey Springs and Pete Fairbanks to injury. Rasmussen has been a key part of the team's success this season, with a 2.62 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings across eight starts.
