The Phillies are now home to begin a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers.

Bohm lands on IL, Alvarado starts rehab.

The Philadelphia Phillies have placed third baseman Alec Bohm on the 10-day injured list due to a left hamstring injury. The team plans to start Edmundo Sosa at third base with Kody Clemens at first base against right-handed pitching, while Drew Ellis will start at first against lefties. Outfielder Cal Stevenson was designated for assignment to make room for Ellis on the 40-man roster. In addition, Jose Alvarado will begin a rehab assignment with Triple A Lehigh Valley after being sidelined by left elbow inflammation since May 8.

The Philadelphia Phillies have placed infielder Alec Bohm on the 10-day injured list due to an ailing hamstring and selected the contract of infielder Drew Ellis from Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Bohm has been playing first base for the Phillies due to injuries to other players and has a .265/.321/.403 batting line. The Phillies plan to use utilityman Kody Clemens at first base and have Ellis, Edmundo Sosa, and Josh Harrison see time at third base. Ellis has been hitting well in the minors with a .269/.380/.628 slash and eight home runs in 78 plate appearances.
