Music executive LA Reid settles sexual assault suit as trial looms
Grammy-winning music executive LA Reid settled a sexual assault and harassment lawsuit with former employee Drew Dixon on the day a civil trial was set to begin under New York's Adult Survivors Act. Dixon alleged Reid groped, kissed and digitally penetrated her on two occasions after she refused his advances, and said harassment began in 2000 that derailed her career at Arista; Reid denied the allegations and left Arista in 2004. Settlement terms were not disclosed, and both sides issued statements; Dixon remains active in survivor advocacy.
