Dragon Quest III Remake Dominates Japan's 2024 Game Sales
Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake has become the best-selling game in Japan for 2024 just a week after its release, with the Switch and PS5 versions selling a combined total of 821,770 copies. This makes it Square Enix's most successful Japanese launch since Dragon Quest 11 in 2017 and the biggest game launch since The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The game has also achieved a peak player count of 45,357 on Steam, surpassing previous Dragon Quest titles on the platform.
