After years of rumors, Dragon Ball Super is back with a sequel series that moves beyond the Tournament of Power into the Moro arc, with Goku and Vegeta teaming up with the Galactic Patrol to capture criminals including the planet-eating Moro. The announcement came at Genkidamatsuri 40th Anniversary, featuring a teaser trailer and Hans Zimmer music; air date is not yet announced, and a second Dragon Ball Super project was also revealed without a premiere window.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, announced at Genkidamatsuri, is an ENHANCED edition of the TV anime, slated to premiere Fall 2026 with extensive new cuts, scene revisions, a full re-render, new dubbing, and a reconstructed narrative to better reflect Akira Toriyama’s original ideas; the event also teased The Galactic Patrol sequel, AGE1000 game, and a new Sparking ZERO DLC.
Dragon Ball Super will return to TV with an anime adaptation of the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc (Moro Arc); production has begun, with Goku and Vegeta joining the Galactic Patrol to face the Planet-Eater Moro. Masako Nozawa and Akio Iyoku announced the news at the Genkidamtsuri festival, but a release date has not yet been announced.
