The impact caused the windows of the tour bus to blow out, but the commercial coach liner absorbed much of the shock. The MTA bus was hit twice by the tour bus, which ran a red light. 36 people were taken to the hospital, while 10 were treated at the scene. The MTA bus is repairable, and the driver of the tour bus was cited for blowing a red light.
