NHTSA Investigates Tesla Model 3 Emergency Door Safety Concerns
The U.S. auto safety regulator has opened an investigation into Tesla Model 3 vehicles over concerns that emergency door releases may not be easily accessible or identifiable, following a petition and previous safety issues with Tesla's door mechanisms. The probe covers approximately 179,071 vehicles from the 2022 model year and is part of ongoing safety reviews of Tesla's door latch designs.
