"FAA Expands Boeing 737 Inspections Following MAX 9 Incident"

The F.A.A. has recommended airlines to inspect door plugs on Boeing 737-900ER planes, following a safety alert due to the same design as the 737 Max 9, which had jets grounded after a door panel incident. The agency is urging immediate visual inspections of the door plugs to ensure proper security, with Alaska Airlines, United Airlines, and Delta Air Lines already conducting checks on their fleets. The incident involving the 737 Max 9 did not result in serious injuries, but the NTSB is investigating, while the F.A.A. is working on final inspection instructions for the planes.

"FAA Calls for Expanded Boeing 737 Checks Following MAX 9 Incident"

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has recommended inspections of door plugs on Boeing 737-900ER jets after issues with bolts were reported, following the grounding of 171 Boeing 737 MAX 9 planes due to a mid-air cabin blowout incident. Alaska Airlines and United Airlines have found loose parts on their MAX 9 aircraft and have begun inspections on their 737-900ER fleets, with United extending the cancellation of MAX 9 flights. The FAA stated that the door plug issue has not been a problem with the 737-900ER model, and inspections of an initial group of 40 Boeing 737 MAX 9 jets have been completed, with the model remaining grounded until the FAA is satisfied they are safe to return to service.
