Pawtucket hockey arena shooting leaves ex-wife and son among the victims as gunman dies
A gunman opened fire at a Pawtucket high school hockey game, killing his ex-wife Rhonda Dorgan and their son Aidan and wounding three others (Rhonda’s parents and a family friend) before dying by suicide. Police say there is no clear motive yet, though the shooter, Robert K. Dorgan, had a history of court disputes and domestic issues; he previously lived out of state and worked for General Dynamics Bath Iron Works. Investigators are reviewing medical records and other materials as they search for a trigger event.
