The body of a male who went swimming with friends at Dockweiler State Beach in Los Angeles in the middle of the night and apparently drowned has been found by authorities. The victim's friends called 9-1-1 after he went under a wave and failed to resurface, prompting a search by Los Angeles County lifeguards with assistance from boats and helicopters. His body was discovered roughly 300 yards north of where he was last seen, and lifeguards are urging the public to avoid swimming at night when they are not on duty.
