Canelo Alvarez retained his undisputed super middleweight championship with a unanimous-decision victory over England's John Ryder in front of 51,000-plus fans in Mexico. Alvarez plans to fight again on Sept. 16 and wants a rematch with light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol, who defeated him last May. Alvarez wants the rematch at 175 pounds, while Bivol wants it for Alvarez's undisputed championship at 168.
