A dispatch recording captured the tense moments between a gunman opening fire at Allen Premium Outlets and a police officer fatally shooting him. The officer screamed for backup as he approached the gunman, who had already killed eight people and wounded seven others. The officer killed the gunman within three to four minutes of the first shots. The victims killed were identified as Cho Kyu Song, Kang Shin Young, James Cho, Daniela Mendoza, Sofia Mendoza, Christian LaCour, Elio Cumana-Rivas, and Aishwarya Thatikonda. The motive of the gunman is still under investigation.
