Disneyland's Toontown Welcomes Classic and Rare Characters for Worldwide Debut.

Pete, a cat-like cartoon character created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1925, will make his debut at Disneyland when Mickey's Toontown reopens on March 19. This marks the first time the character has appeared at any Disney theme park. Pete predates Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Rabbit and first appeared in the 1925 short film collection "Alice Comedies." In addition to Pete, guests can also take photos with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, and Clarabelle, who will regularly appear in Toontown for the first time. Disneyland will also offer new merchandise and a remote control trackless train.
