China's Central Military Commission general Miao Hua is under investigation for "serious discipline violations," according to the defense ministry. Miao, who leads the political work department of the CMC, has been suspended. This follows reports of an investigation into Defense Minister Dong Jun for alleged corruption, which China's foreign ministry has denied. Miao was last seen publicly on October 7 at an event in Xinjiang.
