Netflix's Final Farewell: Free DVD Bonanza for Subscribers
Netflix is offering its subscribers one last chance to rent DVDs by mail before shutting down its DVD rental service. Customers can opt to receive up to 10 extra rentals chosen from their queue, to be delivered in the iconic red envelopes. The promotion has a limited quantity and the final DVDs will be mailed out on September 29th. Returns will be accepted until October 27th. Netflix decided to close the physical rental service after 25 years due to the decline in revenue as the company focused more on streaming and original content.
