Google and YouTube Exit Disney's Movies Anywhere Platform
Google has ended its partnership with Movies Anywhere, a service that allowed users to access purchased films across platforms, due to a dispute with Disney over YouTube TV carriage fees. As a result, Google users can no longer sync new purchases or redeem codes through Movies Anywhere, although previously owned titles remain accessible. Disney has also removed access to Disney movies on Google stores, marking a significant change in digital movie ecosystem collaborations.
