Blackmagic Design introduces the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K, a next-generation digital film camera featuring a box design, a 36 x 24mm 6K sensor, dual CFexpress media recorders, and dual native ISO up to 25,600. The camera offers multiple lens mount options, supports various shooting resolutions and frame rates, and records in Blackmagic RAW and H.264 proxies. Priced at $2,995 USD, the PYXIS 6K is set to be available in June and is expected to be a disruptor in the market, despite the absence of ProRes recording options and internal ND filters.
