
Remembering Dick Biondi: Chicago's Beloved Radio Legend
Dick Biondi, known as Chicago's "King of the Oldies," has passed away at the age of 90. He played a significant role in introducing rock and roll to the U.S. and Canada during the 1960s through his work at Chicago's AM Top-40 stations, WLS and WCFL. Biondi's iconic voice also helped launch the oldies station WJMK in 1984, where he remained until 2005. He concluded his career by spinning golden oldies and classic rock at WLS.
