MLB The Show 23 introduces an interactive documentary-style mode on the Negro Leagues, complete with original artwork, archival footage, and photographs. The game also features major structural changes to its card collecting mode, Diamond Dynasty, and a deeper scouting system in Franchise mode. While the gameplay changes are minimal, the addition of new animations and audio effects enhances the authenticity. However, the graphics are getting stale, and the flagship single player mode, Road to the Show, has been practically left untouched.
