Lawsuit filed against UGA and Jalen Carter in Devin Willock's death.
Jalen Carter, a first-round draft pick for the Philadelphia Eagles, is among those named in a $40 million lawsuit filed by the family of Devin Willock, a former Georgia football player who died in a car accident in January. The lawsuit also names the University of Georgia Athletic Association, Georgia athletic department staffer Chandler LeCroy, Sarchione Automotive, Inc., and Toppers International Showbar. Carter and LeCroy were allegedly racing late at night, and Carter had a blood alcohol concentration of .197 and was driving at 104 miles per hour in the lead-up to the crash. Carter pled no contest to reckless driving and racing charges in March.
