Apple reportedly considered a design concept involving a temporary notch growing out of the side of the iPhone, similar to a mock-up created by MacRumors. This idea, which predates the Dynamic Island, suggests that Apple may have contemplated leaning even further into the iPhone's notch design before ultimately pursuing other options.
Concept images of Samsung's upcoming foldable phone, Galaxy Z Fold 5, have been revealed, showing a Galaxy S23-like individual camera rings on the rear and a perfectly flat fold. The phone is rumored to have a new water-droplet-shaped hinge that will make it gapless when folded and reduce the visibility of the foldable screen's crease. The device is expected to feature a 6.2-inch cover display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor, and a 4,400mAh battery, and will be compatible with an S Pen Fold Edition.
