
Record-breaking student with $10M in scholarship offers chooses Ivy League college.
Dennis "Maliq" Barnes, a 16-year-old high school senior from New Orleans, has chosen to attend Cornell University after receiving scholarship offers from 149 colleges and universities totaling $10 million. Barnes, who earned a 4.98 GPA and has 27 college credits, plans to study computer science and is considering law school. The school believes the $10 million in scholarship offers to be a record for U.S. college-bound seniors.
