A judge in Hinds County Court has denied bond for Joshua Brown, who is accused of shooting and killing Jackson State University student Jaylen Burns. Spencer Pearson, accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend, her mother, and a man who tried to intervene at a Ponte Vedra restaurant, was denied bond for attempted murder charges and given a $100,000 bond for aggravated assault charges. He is not allowed to have contact with the victim's family, be within 1,500 feet of the ex-girlfriend or her mother, or return to the property where the attack occurred. Former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles was denied bond in a capital murder case related to a fatal shooting near campus.
