Terry Francona's Absence Raises Questions for Guardians
Cleveland Guardians manager Terry Francona returns to Kauffman Stadium after being hospitalized for lightheadedness earlier in the week, but will not manage the team on Thursday due to high temperatures. Francona, who has a history of health issues, was advised by physicians to rest and stay away from the ballpark. DeMarlo Hale will serve as the acting manager for the game. The Guardians won the first two games of the series against the Kansas City Royals and are currently leading the AL Central.
