Investigation underway as missing F-35 wreckage found in South Carolina

Crews are working to recover the debris of an F-35 fighter jet that went missing in South Carolina after its pilot ejected, while an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident. The jet's debris field was discovered after a multi-agency search, and community members have been asked to stay away from the remains. This comes as the Marine Corps ordered a two-day pause in flight operations due to three recent "Class-A aviation mishaps," including a fatal crash of an F/A-18 Hornet and an Osprey crash in Australia.

"Discovery of Intact Titan Submersible Parts Promises Clues to Unravel Mystery, Expert Reveals"

Larger fragments of the Titan submersible, which imploded during its descent towards the wreckage of the Titanic, have been recovered from the ocean floor, defying experts' expectations. The retrieval of these intact pieces is expected to facilitate an easier investigation into the tragedy that claimed the lives of five people. The discovery of larger fragments provides more "pieces to the puzzle" to help unravel the cause of the implosion, although the investigation is expected to be challenging and could take a year or more. The National Transportation Safety Board plans to issue a final report in 12 to 24 months.

US and Canada launch investigations into Titan sub implosion.

The US Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the causes of the Titan submersible disaster, which killed all five people on board during a dive to the Titanic wreck on 18 June. The investigation will focus on recovering debris and could recommend civil or criminal charges. It will be run jointly with Canadian, UK and French authorities and could lead to tougher regulations and safety recommendations for submersibles. So far, five major pieces of wreckage have been found 3,800m below the surface.
