Law Firm Revokes Job Offers to Ivy League Students Due to Israel Letters
Davis Polk & Wardwell, a prestigious law firm in New York City, has rescinded job offers to three students from Harvard and Columbia universities after they signed controversial letters supporting Palestinians in the wake of the recent conflict with Israel. The firm cited the students' leadership positions in student organizations that blamed Israel for the attacks as contrary to its values. The students were affiliated with the Palestine Solidarity Groups at their respective universities. Another law firm, Winston & Strawn, also revoked a job offer to a former New York University student following a pro-Hamas column. Several business executives have endorsed a call to refuse to hire members of these student groups.
