Mt. Lebanon's David Shields pitched a no-hitter against North Allegheny in the WPIAL Class 6A baseball championship game, leading his team to a 4-0 victory and their second straight WPIAL title. Shields struck out nine, walked one, and hit two batters, needing only 71 pitches for the complete game. Mt. Lebanon started the season with eight consecutive losses but found their championship form in the second half of the season, winning 11 of their last 13 games.
