A new "Dateline" episode titled “Justice for Joy” sheds light on the 1991 murder of Bucks County mom Joy Hibbs, who was found dead inside her burning home. After more than three decades, Robert Atkins, a former neighbor and occasional marijuana seller to Hibbs, was arrested and convicted of her murder. Atkins' ex-wife testified that he came home covered in blood on the day of the murder and confessed to stabbing someone and setting the house on fire. In February 2024, Atkins was convicted of first-degree murder, arson, and other offenses, and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
