
Jordan Ta'amu and Reggie Barlow Win Top Honors at XFL Awards 2023
The XFL announced its 2023 season awards, with D.C. Defenders' Jordan Ta'amu winning Offensive Player of the Year, Vegas Vipers' Pita Taumoepenu winning Defensive Player of the Year, St. Louis Battlehawks' Darrius Shepherd winning Special Teams Player of the Year, and Reggie Barlow of the D.C. Defenders winning Coach of the Year. Ta'amu threw for 1,894 yards and 14 touchdowns, while Taumoepenu recorded 7.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. Shepherd led the league in kick return yards and caught 48 passes for 519 yards and six touchdowns. Barlow led the Defenders to a 9-1 record and the North Division Championship.
