"Illinoise" by Sufjan Stevens to Debut on Broadway
"Illinoise," a dance-driven musical based on Sufjan Stevens' 2005 album, is set to transfer to Broadway on April 24, just 29 days after concluding a sold-out run at the Park Avenue Armory. The show, directed and choreographed by Justin Peck, depicts a group of young creatives sharing stories around a campfire and focuses on a man navigating grief. With a limited run scheduled until August 10, the production aims to capitalize on its momentum and unique energy, foregoing previews and opening directly on Broadway.
