Controversial Winnie-the-Pooh Book on School Shootings Distributed by Dallas School
A book titled "Stay Safe" featuring Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends teaching children what to do in a school shooting has sparked concern among parents in a Dallas school district. The book, published by Praetorian Consulting, was distributed to students without informing parents. The company's website advertises the book as part of a K-6 curriculum developed by police officers and teachers to teach safety during school intrusions in an "age-appropriate format." Parents criticized the decision to distribute the book and questioned the school district's timing, just over a week before the anniversary of a school shooting that killed 19 schoolchildren and two teachers in Uvalde, Texas.
