Knicks land Jose Alvarado to spark backcourt depth
New York acquired guard Jose Alvarado from the Pelicans in exchange for Dalen Terry, two 2026–27 second-round picks and cash, adding a feisty, defense-minded guard on a modest contract to bolster backcourt depth as Deuce McBride’s status looms. The trade also clears cap space by sending Guerschon Yabusele to New Orleans. The revamped lineup centers around Brunson and Alvarado with a mix of wings, bigs, and draft assets remaining for future moves.
