Wild Acquire Defense Prospect Jiricek in Trade with Blue Jackets
The Columbus Blue Jackets have traded defenseman David Jiricek and a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for defenseman Daemon Hunt, a conditional first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, and additional draft picks in 2026 and 2027. Hunt, who has played 13 NHL games with the Wild, will join the AHL's Cleveland Monsters. Blue Jackets' GM Don Waddell expressed excitement about acquiring Hunt and the valuable draft assets.
