The updated framework, designed for all organizations regardless of cybersecurity sophistication, includes a new focus on governance and aims to be more relevant to a wider range of users. It also offers a reference tool for simplified implementation and plans for international translations, while NIST continues to work on aligning cybersecurity documents internationally.
